Baltic Amber Pendant Wire Wrapped in .925 Sterling Silver Round Wire

A beautiful golden brown ancient organic material composed of hardened pine tree sap exuded during the Eocene epoch approximately 44 million years ago, and found in the Baltic region of Europe and Asia. Worn for its beauty, for educational or scientific interest, and as a conversation piece, this is a “wear with anything” stone, but may be most appropriately worn with earth tones, or clothing designed for natural world interest. Shape, contour, rather consistent color and polish, and flawless surface of this piece may appeal to a purist view; the random internal reflection and refraction pattern with black coated back is better suited to an artistic view.

Description: Refractive and reflective golden brown, slightly rounded rectangular shaped transparent/translucent fossilized tree resin wrapped in 22 gauge sterling silver wire.

Stone Size: Medium (7/8” x 11/16” x 3/8”).

Pattern: Black background with multiple disk-like internal reflections within a transparent golden brown base color.

Contour: High dome, half cylinder surface.

Unique Features: Black back, golden brown color, and multiple beautiful random oriented disk-like internal reflections; shape is also quite unique.

Polish: High gloss, brilliant, waxy.

Edges: Smooth, curved.

Treatment: Black coating on the back to enhance reflection only; natural ancient amber, or prehistoric tree resin, no other treatments.

Comment: A unique, handmade, genuine semi-precious stone pendant, this piece is posted individually, not merely a representative item - what you see is what you get.
