I love buying from Jemel because they don't do anything to their crystals (treat them in anyway). They are unique and beautifully set in gold or silver wire. Their prices are reasonable and they ship very quickly. I'm a repeat customer.

Banded Opal Pendant Wire Wrapped in 14/20 Gold Filled Round Wire

This interesting stone provides diagonal banding of clear pale orange opal chalcedony. A nice choice for white, and light colored clothing; better with bright and dark colors for contrast and enhancement of the banding pattern; best with similarly striped or band patterned clothing; not particularly well suited with earth tone colors or similar pale orange or coral colors. Precise diagonal banding, near standard triangular shape, and a flat sloped face contour  may make this stone attractive to the purist, but some color and pattern changes add some artistic flavor to this stone.

Description: Diagonal banded in varied hues of clear pale orange; triangle shaped, translucent stone wrapped in 22 gauge gold filled round wire.

Stone Size: Medium 15/16” x 13/16” x 1/4”).

Pattern: Straight line diagonal banding with some distortion.

Contour: Smooth slightly slanted flat face.

Unique Features: Pale orange color and banding pattern with some distortion.

Polish: High gloss, brilliant.

Edges: Smooth dome shaped.

Treatment: None; natural stone, smoothed and polished only.

Comment: Haven’t seen this stone before? Some specific types of opal aren’t abundant enough to be produced commercially. They may only be found as one or a few in random places; at very small, unique sources; or under conditions where excessive sorting through a large amount of unattractive material becomes too labor intensive to be worth any commercial endeavor. This is one of those. A unique, handmade, genuine semi-precious stone pendant, this piece is posted individually, not merely a representative item - what you see is what you get.
