Blue Lace Agate Pendant Wire Wrapped in .925 Sterling Silver Round Wire

This uplifting, refreshing stone offers a soft consistent pale sky blue appearance and a calm, peaceful presence. Best with pastels of a different color; many dark or bright contrasting colors also wear well, especially in blue, purple, and orange/coral hues. It looks nice with white, dark brown, and black, but avoid similar (light blue) and light grey toned colors, which tend to blend into the stone, making it boring and uninteresting. Denim and beige also match well, but most other earth tone colors do not. Lighter yellows, yes, bright or dark yellows, no; non-standard shape and contour with a varied cloudy appearance probably best suit an artistic view.  

Description: A somewhat consistent colored whit to pale blue stone of cloudy appearance; rounded skewed trapezium shaped, and opaque to slightly translucent, wrapped in 22 gauge sterling silver wire.

Stone Size: Large (1-1/4” x 13/16” x 3/8”).

Pattern: Cloudy appearance when viewed closely.

Contour: Smooth, slightly sloped flat face.

Unique Features: Back of the stone exhibits a more cloudy appearance and some pitted areas. Polish: High gloss, brilliant.

Edges: Smooth.

Treatment: None; natural stone, smoothed and polished only.  

Comment: Also called blue cloud agate when viewed from the top surface as this stone is, rather than from a cross sectional side surface showing the lacy banding of more typical blue lace agate.
