Also called optical calcite or Iceland spar, this inspiring crystal exhibits a very clear transparent appearance and near perfect rhombohedral shape with few defined external and internal crystal plane surfaces. Some rainbow or iridescent coloration is exhibited from internal crystal planes. As it is clear, it is very versatile and can be worn with any colors of clothing; a near perfect rhombohedral shape and flat surfaces provide appeal to a purist view; the natural crystalline state and shape also find interest in the artist and naturalist realm. 

Description: Very clear with few internal and external crystal plane distortions and rainbow refraction; rhombohedral shaped crystal wrapped in 22 gauge gold filled wire.
