Beautiful concentric band patterned in red, pink, orange-yellow and cream white wonderstone rhyolite. Well suited with most colors, light to dark, it is probably best worn with earth tone colors; may blend or become somewhat obscured against similar colors and patterns. Color and pattern variation, non-standard shape and contour, and semi-polished appearance make this stone better suited to artistic and naturalistic views.

Description: A red, pink, orange-yellow, and cream white concentric banded; irregular trapezium, near rhombohedral shaped opaque stone, wrapped in 22 gauge sterling silver wire.

Stone Size: Medium (1-9/16” x 5/8” x 9/16”).

Pattern: Concentric banding in red, pink, orange-yellow, and cream white.

Contour: Smooth high ridged, sloped surface.

Unique Features: Bright color variation and concentric banding pattern; smooth, soft matte appearance

Polish: Low gloss matte.

Edges: Smooth, flat, steeply sloped..

Treatment: None; natural stone, smoothed and semi-polished only.

Comment: There are three kinds of wonderstone defined by structure and texture, from coarse to fine: wonderstone sandstone, wonderstone rhyolite, and wonderstone jasper. Wonderstone rhyolite is quite fine, but not fine enough to take a high polish like the jasper variety. However, as it is finely porous, it can also be used as an essential oil diffuser.  While the diffusion properties are not quite as effective and long lasting as lava or clay diffusers, it will emit oil scents for about 2 - 3 days (in comparison to 3 - 5 days of lava or clay), and oil on its surface increases color contrast and hence the beauty of the stone.
