This beautiful blue stone exhibits pleochroism (color changes at different angles of light). Typically blue to blue-gray, it becomes clear to blue-lavender in transmitted light. Nicely worn with bright, white, and pastel colored clothing, including blue, gray, and lavender. Also the natural appeal of earth tone colors is enhanced by this stone. Avoid, however, wearing with most medium to dark colors, as this stone tends to blend into them. While the color of this stone is fairly consistent, the unusual shape; the irregular, fractured, and pitted surface; and waxy polish make this stone a more suitable choice for one with an artistic viewpoint than that of a purist; probably also a nice stone for the naturalist.
