Hematite Jasper Pendant Wire Wrapped in Bronze Round Wire

A rich stone of a beautiful and unusual patterned combination of medium brown to metallic maroon hematite and lighter brown limonite naturally infused in an opaque to clear jasper-agate base. Very versatile, it is well suited with beige/tan, brown or black, blue, and most colors in general, especially dark and earth tone colors. Most bright and pastel colored clothing is also appropriately worn with this stone. Some bright and pastel colors, however, appear to slightly clash, especially bright yellow and bright pastel pink. A non-standard shape, wide color variation, mottled brecciated pattern, and integrated white agate are best suited with an artistic or naturalistic view. 

Description: Medium brown to dark metallic maroon with white to clear translucent agate; rounded trapezium shaped opaque to translucent stone, wrapped in 20 gauge bronze wire.

Stone Size: Very Large (1-5/8” x 1-1/16” x 1/4”).

Pattern: Light brown to dark metallic maroon patchy brecciated mottled pattern with a white to clear agate pocket.

Contour: Smooth flat face.

Unique Features: Unusual color and pattern, white to clear agate splash.

Polish: High gloss, brilliant, some semi-polished areas.

Edges: Smooth high domed.

Treatment: None; natural stone, smoothed and polished only.

Comment: Haven’t seen this stone before? Although there are many; and many types, of agate and jasper, some specific kinds aren’t abundant enough to be produced commercially. They may only be found as one or a few in random places; at very small, unique sources; or under conditions where excessive sorting through a large amount of unattractive material becomes too labor intensive to be worth any large commercial endeavor.
