This intriguing stone provides concentric wave patterns in varying shades of orange-tan to brown. Nicely worn with many colors; especially black, browns, and medium to dark shades of most colors, a good stone for earth tones as well, but avoid some pastels, especially lavender and pink, and also some shades of gray. Mostly an artistic stone due to pattern and non-standard shape, though a flat surface contour may provide some appeal to a purist view.

Description: Varying shades of orange-tan to brown, subtle wave patterned; irregular pentagon shaped, opaque stone wrapped in 22 gauge 14/20 gold filled round wire.

Size: Large (1-3/4” x 1-1/8” x 1/4”).

Pattern: Subtle wave, blurred line banding.

Contour: Smooth, flat face.

Unique Features: Color and pattern.  

Polish: High gloss, brilliant.

Edges: Smooth, curved to flat.

Treatment: None; natural stone, cut, smoothed and polished only.  

Comment: Bruneau Jasper, once quite popular and well known, is now quite rare and hard to find.
