A vivid contrasting stone displays stringy to patchy mottled patterns of varied blue and green colors of azurite and malachite against a beige to white non precious opal background; quite versatile, it compliments red, orange and yellow, and wears well with blue, green, and purple hues, and dark colors generally. Most medium to light colored clothing also combine well with this stone, though some lighter green and blue colors should be avoided, as they tend to blend and obscure the stone; not particularly well suited with earth tone colors.
