Shark Tooth Fossil Pendant Wire Wrapped in .925 Sterling Silver Round Wire

This fossilized shark tooth probably came from an ancient Mako shark. Although teeth of modern shark species can date back to the Jurassic period (150 million years ago), most fossil teeth, like this one, usually have a geologic date range from the late Cretaceous (100 million years ago) through the Pliocene (1 million years ago) periods. Worn mostly for educational or scientific interest, and as a conversation piece, color combination suggestion is not so relevant for this fossil. Nevertheless, medium, dark, or earth tone colors are probably best, while bright and light colors, with the exceptions of white, beige, light browns and grays, should generally be avoided; a naturalistic and/or artistic piece.
