Also called optical calcite or Iceland spar, this inspiring crystal exhibits some very clear transparent areas with some cloudiness around the edges, and a near rhombohedral shape with some well-defined external and internal crystal plane surfaces. Some rainbow or iridescent coloration is exhibited from internal crystal planes. As it is clear, it is very versatile and can be worn with any colors of clothing; the natural crystalline state and shape with clarity and crystal plane variation is best suited to the artistic and naturalistic realm. 

Description: Quite clear with light cloudy edges, some internal and external crystal plane distortions and rainbow refraction; rhombohedral shaped crystal wrapped in 22-gauge gold filled wire.

Crystal Size: Medium (13/16” x 13/16” x 3/8”).

Pattern: Quite clear to cloudy crystal with visible external and internal crystal planes and some rainbow color refraction.

Contour:  Smooth flat to stepped face.

Unique Features: Quite high clarity; near rhombohedral crystal form; clearly seen double refraction in some areas.

Polish: Unpolished, natural crystal surfaces, brilliant.

Edges: Natural, slanted, flat surfaces, somewhat sharp.

Treatment: None; natural mineral crystal.
