I love buying from Jemel because they don't do anything to their crystals (treat them in anyway). They are unique and beautifully set in gold or silver wire. Their prices are reasonable and they ship very quickly. I'm a repeat customer.

Shark Tooth Fossil Pendant Wire Wrapped in .925 Sterling Silver Round Wire

This fossilized shark tooth probably came from an ancient Mako shark. Although teeth of modern shark species can date back to the Jurassic period (150 million years ago), most fossil teeth, like this one, usually have a geologic date range from the late Cretaceous (100 million years ago) through the Pliocene (1 million years ago) periods. Worn mostly for educational or scientific interest, and as a conversation piece, color combination suggestion is not so relevant for this fossil. Nevertheless, medium, dark, or earth tone colors are probably best, while bright and light colors, with the exceptions of white, beige, light browns and grays, should generally be avoided; a naturalistic and/or artistic piece.

Description: Charcoal black and brown top, medium dark gray  with beige-brown mottling bottom, curved concave triangular shaped, opaque fossil wrapped in 22 gauge sterling silver wire.

Tooth Size: Medium (1-3/16” x 13/16” x 1/4”).

Pattern: Distinctly separated charcoal black to brown top and medium gray bottom.

Contour: Upper: rough, kidney shaped dome; lower: smooth curved low dome.

Unique Features: Well defined natural fossil tooth.

Polish: Upper: rough, minimal polish; lower: medium bright, semi-polished.

Edges: Upper: rough, natural; lower: curved, semi-sharp.

Treatment: None; natural fossil.

Comment: A unique, handmade, genuine shell pendant, this piece is posted individually, not merely a representative item - what you see is what you get.
