Larvikite Pendant Wire Wrapped in .925 Sterling Silver Round Wire

An enchanting and inspiring stone, Larvikite exhibits a patchy network of light luminous blue reflections of moving light across its surface (adularescence) and metallic black spots. Similar to Labradorite, it wears well with most colors with some preference toward darker shades of clothing, especially black, brown, blue, green, purple, and burgundy; probably best suited to an artistic view.

Description: An angular patchy patterned blue translucent to brilliant reflective rounded triangle shaped stone wrapped in 20 gauge sterling silver wire.

Stone Size: Medium (1” x 3/4” x 1/2”).

Pattern: Patchy translucent and reflective light blue angular crystal planes with metallic black spotting.  

Contour: Smooth, rounded edge, flat face.

Unique Features: Exhibits brilliant adularescence (play of moving light due to overlapping translucent crystal planes), in a dominant light blue hue with several small black metallic spot (probably hematite) inclusions; some natural surface abrasions (typical for this stone)

Polish: High gloss, brilliant.

Edges: Smooth, flat with some fine rough surface abrasions.

Treatment: None; natural stone, shaped, smoothed, and polished only.
