Coprolite Petrified Dinosaur Dung Pendant Wire Wrapped .925 Sterling Silver
Coprolite Petrified Dinosaur Dung Pendant Wire Wrapped in .925 Sterling Silver Round Wire
An interesting and intriguing stone from the age of the dinosaurs (Triassic through Cretaceous geologic time periods – 65 to 225 million years ago); coprolite is fossilized, petrified (or agatized) dinosaur dung, typically in random patchy colors of clear, white, caramel brown, and red. This piece is clearer than typical with red sinewy dendritic patterns within. It presents a beautiful color combination and pattern, and makes a nice conversation piece, especially for educational or scientific interest, subtle color contrast within the stone makes it wear well with most colors of clothing, probably best with earth tone colors. Mostly an artistic piece due to internal color and pattern variation, and non-standard shape, though nearly flawless flat polished surfaces, both front and back may appeal to a purist view.
