This interesting stone provides diagonal sheeting of black dendritic moss like inclusions against a clear to white opal background. Wears well with most colors; typically better with light versus dark colors and earth tone versus bright colors, as the black moss like patterns are more distinct against light and earth tone background colors; also, a nice stone with striped, banded or patterned clothing. 

Description: Diagonal sheets of black against translucent clear and white; rounded triangular shaped stone wrapped in 22 Gauge sterling silver wire.

Stone Size: Medium (1-3/16” x 3/4” x 3/16”).

Pattern: Wavy diagonal sheets in translucent clear and white.

Contour: Smooth flat face.

Comment:  This type of stone may also be found under the term: Dendritic Agate as there is some confusion in terms. It is probably a combination of both opal and chalcedony (agate) and the terms moss and dendritic have similar meanings. This is a non-precious opal; it has no refractive internal color (fire).
