This enchanting stone reveals a subtle clear to gray-brown translucency with a dominant bright luminous blue and some more subtle golden, green and pink reflections of moving light across its surface (adularescence). It wears well with most colors with some preference toward darker shades of clothing, especially black, brown, blue, green, purple, and burgundy. A standard shape and contour make this stone cabochon suitable for a purist view; moving light reflections and dark line patterns are more suited to an artistic view.

Description: Light clear to gray-brown translucent with dominant brilliant reflective blue and some gold, green, and pink, teardrop shaped stone wrapped in 22-gauge sterling silver round wire.

Stone Size: Medium (1” x 3/4” x 1/4”).

Pattern: Clear to gray-brown translucency and bright reflective blue planes.  

Contour: Smooth, flat face.

Unique Features: Exhibits brilliant adularescence (play of moving light due to overlapping translucent crystal planes), in a dominant blue hue, gray-brown to black irregular lines, and some small inclusions.

Polish: High gloss, brilliant.

Edges: Smooth, fine flat, to high half-dome.
