This inspiring crystal exhibits a clear to slightly cloudy transparent clarity with included needles of black tourmaline and some internal quartz crystal planes.  As it is clear, reflecting and refracting any background color, it is very versatile and can be reasonably worn with any color of clothing. Black tourmaline needles further captivate attention and elevate interest, but are best seen in contrast with lighter clothing as they tend to blend with darker colors. This stone is naturally artistic due to the black needle pattern and other inclusions. However, the teardrop shape, low dome polished face, and simple faceted back, also give it some purist characteristics.

Pattern: Random black needles through clear to cloudy clear crystal with some internal crystal planes.

Contour: Smooth low dome face.

Unique Features: Good clarity; random acicular (needle-like) black tourmaline within a clear quartz base; a few fine tourmaline crystal voids both front and back surfaces with larger voids on back surface.

Polish: High gloss, brilliant.

Edges: Smooth, polished, sloped inward  flat.
