Citrine Pendant Wire Wrapped in .925 Sterling Silver Round Wire

This enlightening stone provides a combination of translucent dark golden orange-brown and clear crystal quartz with multiple internal reflective and iridescent fracture planes. It especially compliments maroon/burgundy, blue, purple, brown and beige/tan colored clothing; black and medium to dark grays are also nice. It also wears quite well with some shades of yellow and green (especially blue green). Avoid the medium and bright colors of red, orange, yellow, and yellow-green, as well as lighter grays, as these may hide the stone’s beauty or wash it’s color out. The inconsistent mixed medium golden orange-brown and clear white color pattern and multiple golden, white, and iridescent (rainbow) internal light refraction, with some minor surface pitting  make this stone more for the artistic than for the purist.

Description: Refracted golden orange-brown and clear crystal combination; rounded trapezium, nearly triangular, translucent stone wrapped in 22 gauge sterling silver round wire.

Stone Size: Medium (1-1/16” x 11/16” x 1/2”).

Pattern: Golden, clear, and iridescent internal reflection and refraction.

Contour: Smooth, low dome and ridged face..

Unique Features: bright and iridescent reflections and refraction; small conchoidal external surface chips left and right front center edges.

Polish: High gloss, brilliant.

Edges: Smooth, some minor chipped spots.

Treatment: Unknown, but probably heat treated, as much of the citrine in the market is heat treated amethyst.
