Heulandite Mordenite Pendant Wire Wrapped in .925 Sterling Silver Round Wire

A silky to pearly stone composed of bright reflective tabular or planar heulandite crystals and fine compact radial fibrous mordenite crystals. Both heulandite and mordenite are zeolite minerals similar in structure to some other more familiar zeolite minerals: stilbite and scolecite. Color variation of this particular crystalline stone is clear to light beige-pink. Quite versatile, especially complimenting blue, black, brown, and generally dark colored clothing in contrast, and wears quite well with most other colors, but some caution should be taken with some light pink, beige, coral and yellow colors, as it may blend into them. A non-standard rather organic shape and contour, and inconsistent color variation make this stone more appealing to an artistic or naturalistic view.

Description: Bright clear to light beige-pink; curved organic shaped reflective translucent to opaque and radial fibrous crystal stone, wrapped in 22 gauge sterling silver round wire.

Stone Size: Medium (15/16” x 3/4” x 3/8”).

Pattern: A clash of clear bright planar reflective surfaces and beige-pink radial fibrous compact line sprays.

Contour: Smooth, curved, sloped, flat face.

Unique Features: Unusual color variation, bright planar and radial spray pattern; a few natural broken surfaces on back and edges revealing the unique crystalline structure more clearly.

Polish: High gloss, brilliant, reflective.

Edges: Smooth, flat with some broken surface areas.

Treatment: None; natural stone, smoothed and polished only.

Comment: Haven’t seen this stone before? Some stones and crystals aren’t abundant enough to be produced commercially. They may only be found as one or a few in random places; at very small, unique sources; or under conditions where excessive sorting through a large amount of unattractive material becomes too labor intensive to be worth any large commercial endeavor.
