This beautifully patterned stone features horizontal patches and bands of gray and dark brown. A stone of spirituality and life in the Hindu religion and Indian culture, it is very much an earth tone stone; it wears best with similar patterned and/or earth tone colored clothing. It makes a nice contrast combination with most dark colors, and should wear fine with medium colors in general, also well suited with many bright colors or light colors; A long oval egg shape and medium domed contour both front and back may suit a purist view, but color variation and pattern quite clearly make this an artistic stone.
