Apache Tear Pendant Wire Wrapped .925 Sterling Silver
Apache Tear Pendant Wire Wrapped in .925 Sterling Silver Round Wire
This beautiful stone, originated from a volcanic eruption, is of a relatively consistent translucent very light smoky gray-brown color, appearing darker translucent brown in reflected light, against most backgrounds. It wears well with almost any color of clothing, but better with brown based color tones. An exception might be brown clothing, since this stone will blend, appearing brown on brown. Consistent color and near flawless appearance make this stone quite suitable for the purist. An irregular teardrop shape and skewed high ridge dome contour also provides appeal from an artistic viewpoint.

Comment: Apache tears form as molten volcanic glass is rapidly ejected from volcanic eruptions and rain down to the ground in droplets. Smoothing and polishing, as this stone is, reveals the inner beauty of Apache tears, resulting in a variety of colors of beautiful and attractive appearances including translucent smoky gray brown, soft shiny opaque black, red-brown, mahogany (mixed patchy brown and black), charcoal gray, striped black and gray, etc.; however, the outer fusion crust is necessarily removed during the polishing process. A unique, handmade, genuine semi-precious stone pendant, this piece is posted individually, not merely a representative item - what you see is what you get.
