Also called optical calcite or Iceland spar, this inspiring crystal exhibits almost pure transparent clarity transitioning to cloudy white with some iridescent internal crystal plane reflection and double refraction with some rainbow or iridescent coloration. As it is clear to cloudy white, with some reflection and refraction of background color; it is very versatile and can be worn with any color of clothing. The natural crystalline state, cloudy areas, and exposed surface crystal plate edges probably keep this piece in the artist and naturalist realm.

Description: Clear, natural, rhombohedral shaped, transparent to translucent crystal wrapped in 22 gauge sterling silver wire.
