This naturally patterned stone features irregular patches and fine lines in predominant red and yellow with some orange coloration. While beautifully colored and patterned, petrified wood is often worn for educational or scientific interest; and as a conversation piece as well. It wears best with beige/tan, brown or black, and most earth tone colors; and should wear fine with light to dark colors in general. A domed, near half circle shape and flat surface contour reasonably appeal to a purist view; color and pattern variation best suit an artistic view.
