Syringopora Fossil Coral Pendant Wire Wrapped .925 Sterling Silver Round Wire

A rare, interesting and intriguing agatized fossil coral of ancient, early limestone based, coral replaced by agate dating back in geologic time to the Ordovician to Permian periods (from about 488 to 251 million years ago); a tubular structured coral of clear to white tubules withing a dark gray-brown to black base host rock. A nice conversation piece, especially for educational or scientific interest, it also presents a unique pattern and color combination. It probably wears best with dark, light, or earth tone colored clothing, though most other colors and shades are appropriate as well; an artistic stone due to color variation, pattern and non-standard shape and contour.
